My
Story
About me
Having worked in corporate marketing for most of my working life, I have now realised my love for art. A self taught artist, I initially started painting with acrylic and watercolour paints and then began working with coloured pencils in 2020. I am now developing my artistic ambition and can offer individual and totally unique, realistic pet, equine and wildlife portrait commissions.
Services
I am a wildlife, equine and pet portrait artist living and working near Market Harborough in the UK. Every portrait I create is totally unique. I use the highest quality coloured pencils and my aim is to always produce a true likeness and capture the heart and soul of every animal I have the pleasure to draw.

To produce a realistic portrait of your pet I need a good photo to work from. (Please ensure you have the owners permission to use the photo). It can be taken by phone or camera but I really want to capture the personality of your pet, so it is important that the photo fits what you want from your portrait, it is sharp and ideally the eyes will look bright with some reflection in them. If your portrait includes two or more animals I can work from separate photos. If I believe the photograph that you supply is not of good enough quality, I will of course let you know.
The coloured pencils I use are Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran Dache Pablo’s and Luminance, and Derwent Lightfast and Drawing. These are the very best quality coloured pencils for lightfastness and will ensure that when your pet portrait is framed and hung on your wall at home it will be with you for a lifetime.
I use only the best quality paper/drafting film. My preference is Grafix Drafting Film, Pastelmat Board or Derwent Lightfast paper for all my portraits. I will include details on framing and care instructions with each portrait when despatched.
Every portrait is different but an average A4 portrait will take me approximately 25-30 hours to complete depending on the complexity. I am therefore happy to send you regular updates on the progress of your portrait.
I will advise timescales for delivery on booking a commission, however due to the time each portrait takes me to produce, please ensure you book your portrait well in advance of any special date you may need it for.

All prices quoted exclude framing, postage and packaging.
A 25% non refundable booking fee will be required on booking a commission with final balance due prior to despatch.
